Security cards

All BOS students are issued with security (proxy) cards. Students must swipe their cards when arriving at school in the morning and again when leaving in the afternoon. This system will ensure that students’ attendance is electronically recorded. In the event of an emergency, such as a fire, it is important for teachers to have an accurate record of which students are present on any given school. This system is designed to send a text message, indicating a student’s arrival and departure, to his/her father, mother, or caregiver.

Parent and drivers may can be issued with proxy cards to allow drop off at school in the mornings and pick- ups at the end of the day. No drivers or nannies or unauthorised persons are allowed access past the lobbies at any time. Parents are allowed to drop off in the morning but will need to wait in the lobby at the end of the day.
