Communications and publications

Communication between school and home is usually via email or you can call the school numbers provided if something urgent is required. The school sends regular SMS notifications to parents to inform/remind about events/meetings/activities.

Student reports are issued four times within the academic year with details of the academic achievements or areas of improvement. Parents receive the report in their email accounts which is recorded in the application form during admission.

After issuing the reports, BOS conducts Parent-Teacher Conferences. These meetings enable parents to speak to the homeroom or subject teachers one to one and discuss the academic needs of their child (ren). If the parent cannot turn up for a meeting he/she can arrange an individual meeting with the teacher via the divisional secretaries with advance notice at any convenient time for both teacher and parent during the school day.

To encourage parents to participate in the whole school life both academically and socially Baku-Oxford School sets Coffee Mornings for parents three times per year. Parents should register for the mornings via divisional offices. The aim of coffee mornings is to communicate the mission and vision of the school and receive parents’ recommendations and suggestions for improvement.
